The founders of Villij bring a one-of-a-kind blend of business savvy and technical excellence making Villij a microcosm of the transformation undergoing the burgeoning New York tech scene. The founders:
- Saro Cutri and Rob Morelli -- Both attended Cornell University, where Cutri studied Engineering, graduating in ‘97. Morelli studied Business Management, graduating in ‘99. They worked together for nearly a decade at UBS, where Cutri became Managing Director and Co-Head of the Proprietary Trading Group and Morelli served as the Executive Director in Structured Products. Villij is the third company they’ve founded together, having previously started Sirona Advisors and WhichDoc.com, a physician recommendation engine named one of the Brilliant 100 Companies of 2012 by Entrepreneur magazine.
- Arron Kallenberg -- A 2007 graduate of the prestigious TechStars technology incubator program, Kallenberg grew up in rural Alaska where, in addition to school, he was a deckhand on his family’s commercial fishing boat and taught himself to both snowboard and write code. He attended Western Washington University and then founded, Kalbay Systems, a web-based application development firm. He also co-founded Olive Interactive, LLC, which attracted an equity investment from Gary Vaynerchuk’s VaynerMedia in Olive in 2009.
