One of my all time fav East Village Italian spots. Always great food and a great vibe in the place. They are one of the best delivery spots in the East Village to boot. Can't go wrong.

Best burger in the East Village.

One of my favorite places in the NYC let alone the East Village. It doesn't get crazy crowded (usually). It's dark and intimate so I'd think pretty good for a date. The prices can't be beat either. It's not an upscale spot if thats what you are looking for, but this is a low key chill place where you can have a conversation and some good drinks.

I just read this is one of David Chang's spots. They deliver and super close to you. I've never eaten here but if Chang is touting it out, must be pretty great.

If you are thinking Manhattan - this one is easy in my opinion Adam. The East Village offers the best combination of culture, ranges of rental prices (albeit this is relative for manhattan - studios to higher end condos), food, and drink. Options range from high end restaurants to complete dives. Pros - affordable (admittedly for Manhattan), great food & drink everywhere. Great places for live music, incredible art scene. Cons - not the best access to public transportation the further east you are, fast spreading higher end places raises rents/costs on a relative basis. Again, if you are thinking Manhattan this is my pick, if you would consider outter boroughs im not your guy! Good Luck and welcome.
