Jordan's head winemaker has hailed 2009 as a dream vintage which really brought out the smooth blackberry qualities of the fruit. Coupled with aging in oak, the balance is impeccable and makes for perfect drinking right now.

This highly limited Chardonnay is back with a vengeance in its 2011 incarnation. If you've tried the 2010, you know that Red Shoulder Ranch produces great fruit for Shafer. The 2011 is a bit creamier by comparison but has the same depth of flavor.
